2004 Field Day was a great success and a lot of fun for the Lake Area Radio Klub. We operated
from City Park on Lake Kampeska once again this year. We had a great turnout and quite a few visitors. LARK operated 2A (two stations on alternate power). We made CW and SSB contacts on 80/40/20/15 meters, along with CW and SSB on 6 meters (another first for LARK field day). We also operated a VHF/UHF station for satellite operation, and made serveral contacts on satellites OSCAR-29 and OSCAR-50. AND... on Sunday morning at about 11:00 AM we made contact with Mike Fincke (KE5AIT), operating as NA1SS, on the International Space Station. This is the second time LARK has made a contact with the ISS on Field Day, the first being 2001. |
