Each year LARK provides radio communications for the Hospital Hill Run, which consists of runners on either a 1 mile walk/run thru town or a 5 or 10 kilometer run out towards Lake Kampeska and back. This year Val WØLPG again coordinated the communications, with Clark KBØRBG as net control. 12 ham operators participated in all. And, this year special communications were provided using Jeff KØJLR's new "Antenna Helmet", provided by Jim WØMJY at Burghardt Amateur Center. (Would you be caught wearing a helmet like that in public? I didn't think so. Hats off to Jeff, pun intended!)
