Thank you for being easy to find. I am working on 40 meter cw worked all states and am dying at my key looking for a SD qso. My habit is to hunt and pounce. But I am down to two remaining states and am weary of working the other zeros. How many contacts with Kansas, Missouri, Colorado and Minnesota do I need? I have a lifetime supply of those. So, anyone willing to make a sked with me? I am in Idaho - perhaps one of you needs me? I use an Omni 7 and a GAP Voyager 45 feet tall. What say ye?

Hello everyone at LARK. Sorry can't catch you on the radio but my radio days are over... Disabled in 1992 and now live day to day with no hope of ever having that dream station. We live in such a messed up world. Yes, I envy the people that can and do have. At 58 I am an AMERICAN CITIZEN that never got a chance...My abilities born and bred into me and later honed by My Major in Electronics With a DEGREE IN APPLIED SCIENCE (Cum Laude} was jerked out from under me by a devastating disability. Most, if not ALL OF YOU DO HAVE A CHANCE to save our heritage..... DO NOT LET THE HAM BANDS GO BY THE WAYSIDE. USE THE BANDS. Don't let my last dream of seeing open airwaves for the TRUE AMERICANS born and raised in this once wonderful country go by the wayside. I no longer participate because I am poor. But plenty of you can (are able) to keep our bands open. You can't take it with you. Spend some money on a good cause. Keep America's Freedoms Alive. I now leave it to all of you. LOAD THE HAM BANDS WITH HOPE AND AND MANY OPERATORS DREAMING OF WHAT COULD BE AND SHOULD BE. Ham Radio has save countless numbers of lives in desperate situations involving national disasters. One live = Priceless....... Calvin, N4UTN

Hi All ! I am an independent software developer who has developed a new software application program for home and business emergency preparedness – or what to do and what to have on hand in the case of a fire, flood, earthquake, hurricane, or other emergency. The program includes HAM and CB radio and other communication management features. The program is called Home and Office Emergency Preparedness (HOEP) and the suggested retail price is $159.00. The program is designed to run on the Windows XP®, Windows Vista®, and Windows 7® computer Operating Systems. I am looking for qualified people who would like to participate in the Beta program for HOEP (no charge) and try out the program prior to general software release, and then give me their feedback. Beta participants receive a free copy of the software, email technical support, and free software upgrades. In return, I ask that Beta participants tell me what they do and do not like about HOEP, and advise me on any additional modifications and features that they would like to see in the program. Please reply to this message with the remark “Please send additional info on HOEP Beta program” and I will forward you additional information on HOEP. You can then review the documentation and decide if you would like to participate in the Beta program and download the HOEP software application program. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration! Sincerely, Tim Gillis, Master Developer Chrysanthemum Software

I'm interested in your VXR-7000 info... We have a vhf unit, and during our setup, it was very hard to find info. http://www.kl7gq.com/wl7cvv/repeater.htm At this time, we still need to modify the battery banks to an external charger, and are considering fixing the fan to intermittent operation (due to dust accumulation); perhaps op during xmit only or thermostatic. PIC control would be ideal, test fan once per day, run on heat, and shutdown if overheat. I was jealous to see your installation! I gotta link that on my repeater page. Everyone in our club thinks I know everything, but I know that I don't, and wouldn't mind contact with someone to talk VXR-7000 with. Thanks. Roy Hansen, KL7GQ Valdez, Alaska

HI all up in SD. I'm just roaming around the web here, listening to the local 2 meter net where i live in SC and decided to stop in. Hope you folks get alot of pheasant this fall. I couldn't make it up there for that as i already took a cruise boat around the carribean a month back and i figured another vacation might not work out well with the employer. :) Well take care. I'm off to see the picture section on here. Good job Kevin on this site.

Sure sorry to hear about Jerry. I just had an email from his grandson indicating his move to a nursing home. I remember when he got into DX and we put the TH6 up at his house out at the lake. Those were the good old days (I can say that now since I am over 60!!!) Always try to keep up with some of the happenings back in SD.
